Everything in life is interconnected in some way, where God is the one holding the strings of our lives. We have the gift of freewill, but this is only useful with the present time. Sure, a certain time and space is always available for us to do our thing freely. Only that at times, human tend to forget about how limited that space is. There are times when our course of action is dependent on other people’s actions and reactions. Maybe that has something to do with the relative/reactive nature of each of us. We always hear stuff about us being the “captain of our own ship”. In addition, we must remember that we do not own the ocean where we are navigating our ships.
Sometimes, we tend to focus on matters that we see as the most important and most urgent. We become too focus that we lose the sense of patience as the radius of our understanding points mainly to ourselves, to our own agendas and goals. We tend to forget that we are just a part of the whole; and we can only decide and act on a certain degree. We need to see our world as not only our “personal world” but also an interconnected world that is attach and responds to another. The result of events sometimes makes us frustrated, agitated, and sometimes too bitter and angry that we become selfish and narrow-minded. At times that we don’t get the result that we wanted, we have the tendency of being stubborn and hard-headed that we still refuse to look up and find that seed of acceptance and dependence to the grace and blessings of the Great One.
Sometimes, we need to take a moment of contemplation and assess the course of actions and decisions regarding our future. It has been a lesson learned “not to sweat off the small stuff”; although this is situational, of course, on the other hand, common sense must be on the frontline. We need to keep in touch with our emotions and inner selves. Whatever emotion may arise within us, it is essential for us to address and attend to it. . It is healthy to do this as it bears fruit of understanding one’s self better. Nevertheless, do not to dwell on it for a long time. We only know the past and the present. We would be missing so much of the present if we would be worrying too much about the future. However, as logic and common sense would point out the future is something that one has to anticipate but I would say that only up to some extent. I believe in chapters and phases. We must learn the importance of full circles. It is vital not to leave even just a tiny speck unattended and neglected. Everything that happens is essential for another phase of our journey as we take another road to travel.
Always heed to God’s voice, as it is the compass and guide. His voice is the source of our “itinerary”. Right time will come. Meanwhile, make the most of the present.
