From A “Mirror”

People are gifts. I think I told this so many times to lots of people. This poem came from a person who, right from the start had been my “guardian “daredevil” angel, :-) sounds complicated, huh? :-) Well, that makes this person unique; that is aside from the matter-of-fact, no-nonsense-but-fun attitude. What makes this person special? That would be because of many things… my friend, my mirror, my confidant, my partner in crime of some sort, etc. I am thankful for this person’s friendship.

One conversation I had with this person brought out one of my very first poem, “Unsung Hymn“. This piece is something that I got as a response from this dear friend on 3/28/2007 4:47:03 PM.

You Are Who You Are

You are earth
The soil that supports
And nurtures living things.
You give solid footing
To those around you

You are the wind
The power that
Sweeps away old fears
And carries new ideas
Like springtime

You are fire
Igniting the power
And passion in others
You give warmth
On cold wintry nights
And clear the way

For new beginnings
You are water
Irresistible
No obstacle can stop you
You go over, under
Around and through
You change forms
To steam or ice
Or rain
You bring life
Wherever you go
You touch everyone
You meet

Many Thanks, madpp… :-)

Looks like the two of you are soulmates. The poem speaks a lot. Is madpp happens to be a guy and available, I think both of you are great together. The poem is very telling, LOL.
