Why I Blog

I started writing Jan. 2007. First, by scribbling ILUKO poems (daniw). My pen is greatly influenced by my native tongue, and by iluko writers.

Why do I write?

I do because of the freedom that it offers. I can “fly and soar” as I feel it, without physical restrictions and without time constraints- through my pen. The freedom of expression offered by the unlimited possibilities of the net is a gift.

True enough, I do exploit the Net and my pen, with much energy when I can. Well, the best things in life are free, or almost.

One thing that fulfills me is freedom. That’s when I am able to express myself. I write not solely because of wanting to be heard or be read, as the primary reason.

Reactions and comments, are but sweet icing on the cake that I tremendously enjoy and appreciate nevertheless, :-) . I am just glad to share whatever I have because I know that in one way or another, somebody out there might need something like it.

Writing is just one of my means to reach out.

I write because I want to free up myself through the medium that I want to do best- writing and poetry. Because of this, I always wanted the lyrics and music in my soul to merge into one.

I wanted my Art to be seen and felt in any medium of expression I use- my written songs, in my poetry, or in the reflective essays I wrote. I always wanted all my elements to be present and strongly felt- in a fusion, perhaps, or something like it.

I always wanted my music to be seen with a poet soul into it, and my poetry to radiate some kind of musicality.

I hope I am learning to do that with my art..

Moreover, I do consider writing is a sacred gift given to me. And so, I want to do it as my way of thanking my creator. I want to, at least, reciprocate the gesture, to give back to God and to the world throught it.

Your blog is like a spring of inspiration because of your writings.

Your writing has a soul. It is so honest and your very high intellectuality shows in every post. I reckon you do are quite unsure whether to let your excellent artistic nature show. However, I, as a reader, see the enormous potential in you. Keep on writing drippingmind.
